Kidde India has received orders from two major power companies - the National Thermal Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NTPC) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited - to supply and design fire protection systems for the companies’ power plants in India. Kidde India is part of UTC Fire & Security, which is a business unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Both contracts cover facilities throughout the country and call for the installation of a wide range of equipment including; a combination of hydrants, high velocity and medium velocity sprays, foam, inert gas, and fire detection and alarm systems.
